Massachusetts Man Arrested For Fleeing From New York State Police

On Monday, New York State Police arrested Jammy Alphonse, 26, of Everett, MA.

Alphonse has been charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, and Resisting Arrest

At approximately 1:45 a.m., Alphonse was observed traveling on I-95 in the town of Harrison and he was stopped by New York State Police for a motor vehicle violation.

After interviewing all occupants of the vehicle, it was determined that there was probable cause to search the vehicle.

When Alphonse was asked to exit the vehicle, he refused and started to drive away.

Alphonse was eventually pulled over 6 miles away from where he was originally stopped and he was taken into custody.
