Hartford Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In, Charged With Murder

33-year-old Jason Stone of Hartford was arrested on Saturday after turning himself into Hartford Police for shooting 24-year-old Jaqhawn Walters in the area of 3395 Main St. in Hartford.

Walters was shot by Stone just after 12pm. At 12:13 p.m. Walters was taken in a private vehicle to St. Francis Hospital and at 12:22 p.m. he was pronounced dead.

The firearm used by Stone, has been recovered by Hartford Police and Hartford Police have charged Stone with one count of murder.

At this time Stone remains in custody, being held on $1 million bond.

Walters was a 2018 graduate of Albertus Magnus College in New Haven where he played basketball.
